Shoot Communications was formed in 2005 to provide audio communications to the fledging Northern Ireland events, film and television sector.

Sacha Patterson

Managing Director

I have been working in Film and television for 14 years. I trained in the Theatre as a Stage Manager but i began my career as an Assistant Director working on programmes such as Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Down to Earth, The Last Detective, Henry VIII, The Bill, Eastenders, Holby City and Tooth.

In 2005 i moved to Northern Ireland and with my husband Chris Patterson and we founded Shoot NI Ltd. The company was originally designed as a locations and facilitating company and I worked on productions such as City of Ember, Waz, Vets II (Adharca Fada), The Best’s and various commercials.
As Shoot NI Ltd developed, the audio communications became the focus of the business and so in 2010 the trading name was changed to Shoot Communications.

My experience on set means that I understand the needs of production as well as the crew on the set. As well as ensuring the best and most affordable options to suit your budget I also ensure that you have the right equipment for the job.

“I like to feel we are an extension of the production team. The Shoot team are always there to make sure the set keeps talking”

What do you enjoy most about working at Shoot?

I love the thrill of being involved in a production or event. It is very gratifying to know that you are helping to make that happen

What do you do when you aren’t working?

I watch a lot of good quality Television Drama but when I’m not doing that i will be spending time with my family and friends or i will be running a 5k Parkrun.

What do you enjoy most about working at Shoot Communications?

No two days are the same. On a daily basis, I could be dealing with the biggest tv show in the world one minute and a small local event the next.

Plus cupcakes and Beer for birthdays – whats not to love about that!?

What do you do when you aren’t working?

When I’m not busy at work you will find me reading a comic, watching films and catching up on tv shows, listening to podcasts, spending time with family & friends or if it is summer trying to perfect the ultimate BBQ burger!

Kerry

Administrator

I’m still quite new to the role of Administrator but I’m the go-to girl you need when dealing with payments and accounts.

My working background is varied, between retail, sales, catering and admin I’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt. This has helped me become the people person I am today.

Once I realised accounts and numbers was what I liked to work in I signed up to an evening class so that I can continue my studies and help me become better at my job.

What do you enjoy most about working at Shoot Communications?

This is my first role working within the production industry and I’m enjoying the fact that I get to meet new people from all different roles in film and television.

What do you do when you aren’t working?

As a self confessed coffee addict you are likely to find me catching up with friends over a mug of the hot stuff when I’m not working or working out in the gym to burn off the treats I get from Coppi downstairs.
